Daycare Assistant

Part-Time/Full-Time assistant at an In-Home Daycare

We are looking for a person who is kind, patient and has a passion for children. We boast a fun work environment that allows you to be free to express yourself as an educator for our kiddos. Under the direction of our lead teacher, you will assist with our implementation of lesson plans and ensure that the children remain in a clean and safe environment.

We would love to have you come work with us but first, ask yourself these questions:

• Do I have a passion for working with children?
• Am I capable of multi-tasking?
• Am I a fast learner?
• Can I be reliable and be there for the kids?

If you are comfortable working in a daycare after answering those questions then you just might be the person we would like to have on board!

Things you can expect when starting with us:

• ECE Units if needed
• CPR/First-Aid Certification
• TB Clearance
• Criminal Background test
• Gain some knowledge using WORD, EXCEL, etc.
• Learn to communicate effectively with children and parents
• Share your ideas to improve our team and our program
• Develop tools to keep children engaged
• Become comfortable receiving corrective criticism as a way to gain more knowledge and be more efficient
• Learn strategies to overcome overwhelming conditions

Job Details:

• We're looking for someone to work between 20-40 hours weekly
• Shift needs are mornings, afternoons, weekends, and sometimes nights

Important Job Duties Not Limited to:

• Supervise and care for children
• Assist with meal preparation [breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner]
• Maintain facility cleanliness
• Soothing newly incoming children getting used to daycare
• Small administrative duties such as filling out infant care sheetsAssist with picking children up from school
